XFL: Uniforms Aren’t As Bad as their Logo Reveals

XFL Uniforms

The XFL 2.0 is only a few short months away from their revival. Initially, eight teams were revealed to start the next iteration of the NFL-alternative league. With training camps set to start up, team uniform reveals trickled in. Luckily for potential fans, the uniforms look much better than the initial logo reveals made them seem.

Nothing about the logo reveals made it seem like the XFL was a legit football league. At first glance everything looked to have an NFL Europe knock off. While initial impressions have calmed down a little, the uniforms make the logos stand out and look a bit more aggressive than the generic clip art look of the team representations in logo form.

First up, we love the Dallas Renegades uniforms. They almost have a combined look of Dallas Cowboys and old school Houston Oilers from the pre-Tennessee Titans days. With the light blue and  red it really gives the classic NFL feel but has the aggressive and unique look of today’s modern look. And having one of the better logos to be revealed with the outlaw makes their uniform top out list.

Next are the Seattle Dragons that make our list of favorite looks. Their clean-cut simple all white look with their darker tone on the dragon logo makes great compliment between simple yet wearable. Fans can wear the Seattle Dragons jerseys without looking like they’re wearing something from their local high school teams.

Finally, the New York Guardians have the best on helmet logo of the uniform reveals. The dark and aggressiveness of the all black uniform with the silver stripes and red accents make the entire uniform more appealing. When it comes to start up leagues, you need to not go cheap and turn fans off no matter the product put out on the field. No other team in New York has that sharp of a uniform out of the NFL so in town the XFL rules the uniform battle.

If the XFL wants to be successful it needs to keep pushing the envelop of not only the feel of the league but the look as well. Marketing will make or break them going forward and if they cheap out, then they’ll fold just as quickly as their first attempt.
