Beats Studio3: Headphones Worth Having

Beats Studio3

In a world full of options when it comes to headphones, I never thought I’d be the one to own a pair of Beats headphones. After all, I own a pair of Apple AirPods so why would I need another means to play my music. Nothing is terrible in regards to my AirPods but as with most other accessories, each can be used for their own separate occasion.

AirPods on their own can be used on the fly, for phone calls, for music and the gym, and running. Sitting in the Apple store I toyed around with the Beats on display. Big mistake. I instantly was impressed with the quality of the audio. I understood why Apple decided to pay all that money to acquire the company.

When I got scrolling around on Amazon I came across the Beats Studio3 with noise cancellation. Of course, they were on sale and I got my tax money back, so naturally, I pulled the trigger. It took 2 days for Amazon to get them to me and the minute I opened the box I was instantly impressed. First, the box they are packaged in is as durable as it gets it seems. Then they come with their own personal carrying case.

Time to try these babies out. In the box is the wrapped charging cord that states “10 min charge, 3+ hours of play”. I charged them for the necessary ten minutes and gave them a whirl. Upon putting them on, you’ll be shocked just how comfortable they really are. They don’t squeeze your head like a typical pair of over-the-ear headphones do. Comfort is key. The earpads fit comfortably around my ears with a soft, not too stiff, cushion that gave a natural feel.

What I didn’t realize with the Beats headphones was the ability to still make phone calls with the headphones on. Siri is still a button push away as well. Granted you will need your phone close as it uses the mic from the phone to be the input, but there’s still the same options as your AirPods.

Maybe it was a bit of a splurge to get both, but already I can envision using them for different practices. AirPods will more than likely fall as my on-the-go, sporty, practical, pull from my pocket pair. My Beats Studio3 will be my work, editing, music, isolating pair when I need to be focused on one thing at a time.

If you don’t have a pair of AirPods, but still want quality headphones, Beats Studio3 is definitely worth the price tag, especially on sale.
